Middle School Math/Science Teacher
Ryan Academy is currently interviewing for a 5th-8th Grade Math/Science teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be “highly qualified” and have a BA and an endorsement for the specific grade level/subject they will teach
• Have 1 – 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience in a small school setting. 2 or more years of teaching experience is preferred.
• Be a strong classroom manager.
• Be an effective planner of units and lessons that include differentiated instruction.
• Be committed to meeting the needs of a diverse student population that includes students with special needs.
• Have a track record of being a team player and community minded.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Planning and teaching English and Social Studies to 5th -8th grade students.
• Developing meaningful learning projects.
• Assessing student progress regularly and using data to plan for instruction.
• Collaborating and co-teaching with a team teacher.
• Creating a classroom with a positive culture and environment
• Engaging parents and families in their student’s learning and acting as an ambassador for the school in the community.
• Attending and participating in school events outside of regular school hours.
*SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary is based on educational level, certification(s), and years of experience. Employees will be contracted yearly. Employment agreements will be renewed according to evaluations and staff interest.
